FAQ

Ok I just got a Tattoo now what?
You now have been tattooed in a totally safe and sterile manner using the finest equipment and colors available. Please follow these simple instructions to ensure that your new tattoo comes out great.
Leave bandage on for at least four (4) hours, but no longer then overnight.
Wash tattoo immediately after bandage removal with an antibacterial soap and warm water and blot dry.
Let tattoo breath for at least 30 minutes after first washing, then apply a thin coat of fragrance free white lotion (such as Curel) to the area.
Within two days your tattoo will begin to scab. This could last up to two weeks (usually only one). DO NOT PICK AT IT ! During this time you could ruin your new tattoo before it has a chance to heal.
Can I take a bath ?
While it is important to wash your skin and tattoo, soaking may cause scabs to come off prematurely.
Water in pools, Jacuzzis, etc. may contain bacteria or chlorine, both which can harm a fully unhealed tattoo.
How about UV rays and my Tattoo
Keep your new tattoo completely out of the sun for no less then two weeks.
Then use clothing, sunblock and a little common sense to preserve it’s beauty.

If you follow the above instructions, your new tattoo will come out just the way you want it to and will remain beautiful for years to come.
how do I take care of my tongue piercing ?
1) Clean your tongue piercing after everything other than water for the next 7 days, once in the morning and again at night check to ensure the balls are tight on the barbell. Be sure to wash your hands before touching your new piercing!
2) Swelling will be at it’s peak first thing the morning after the piercing was done. Before bed tonight, in the fridge be sure you have a pitcher of cold water, a tray of ice cubes, you will want these items in the morning. When you get up crush some ice in a plastic bag, then take some of the ice slivers and put them in your mouth and allow them to melt. Try not to suck on them, allowing them to melt is the best. After about five to ten minute you should notice the swelling subsiding. During the day try to have cold water with ice handy throughout the day to keep the swelling down and to aid in the healing.
3) Good oral hygiene is important to allow the tongue piercing to heal as quickly as possible. Purchase a good non-alcohol anti-bacterial mouth rinse if possible, (Oral-B), if you cant find this then Original Listerine will work fine but if you find it’s too harsh then cut it down 50% with water. You must rinse your mouth out after everything other than water for the first 7 days, this is very important! When brushing the teeth do not brush your tongue, this may irritate the piercing. The 2nd or 3rd day after the piercing has been done you may notice a yellow film on the top of your tongue, don’t worry this is the normal matter your tongue generates as it heals this will disappear in a few days. You may also see a whitish circle around the barbell under your tongue, this is the tongues version of a scab and it will also disappear in a few days.
4) Ensure your barbell balls are tightened every night before bed and after you have brushed your teeth and washed your hands. While holding the bottom ball under your tongue in your left hand grasp the top ball with your right hand and turn it clockwise to tighten it. (Right to Tighten / Left to Loosen) This must be done every day to ensure the balls do not loosen off. If you do happen to swallow a ball they will not hurt you, they will pass through your system in a day or so, contact your piercer to acquire another replacement ball.
how should i care for my piercing ?
Basic everyday guidelines:
Stay healthy. Get enough sleep and eat a nutritious diet.
Make sure bedding is kept clean and changed regularly.
Showers are preferred because bathtubs can harbor bacteria.
Keep your new piercing out of soaking water such as Lakes, Pools, Jacuzzis, etc. You may use a waterproof bandage to protect the piercing if necessary.
Avoid the use of alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, Betadine, Hibiclens or ointment.
Do NOT over clean.
Avoid oral contact, rough play, and contact with others’ bodily fluids on or near your piercing.
Avoid stress and recreational drug use including excessive caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol.
Avoid ALL beauty and personal care products on or around the piercing including cosmetics, lotions, and sprays.
DO NOT try and change jewelry too early. Wait at least 3 weeks or more (3 months on Navel) to change. If irritation appears with your change-out jewelry then remove and replace with the cleaned original piercing jewelry.
Cleaning:
Wash your hands thoroughly prior to cleaning, or touching on or near your piercing for any reason.
Using the preferred liquid antimicrobial or liquid antibacterial soap, lather a small pearl size bead of soap in your hand, preferably while showering, and wash the jewelry and piercing for no more than 30 seconds and rinse well.
Let air dry or dry with disposable paper products such as paper towels. Do not use cotton type towels.
What is normal?
Initially, some bleeding, localized swelling, tenderness, or bruising.
While healing, some discoloration, itching, secretion of a whitish-yellow fluid (not pus) that will form some crust on the jewelry.
A piercing may seem healed before healing is complete. This is because the piercing heals from the outside in. Be patient and keep cleaning throughout the entire healing process.
Once healed the jewelry may not move freely; DON’T force it. If you fail to include cleaning your piercing as a part of your daily hygiene routine; normal but smelly bodily secretions may accumulate.
